My mom Giti is the model of a smart, thoughtful, generous, God-fearing, loving, well-respected powerful Orthodox woman. She leads by action and holds incredible wisdom. Sometimes I think my mom is The Lonely Woman Of Faith, always struggling to walk the fine line of being a woman and being Orthodox. She is my hero, hands down.

Her advice to me: Give yourself permission to say no if you just can’t.
