P.S. (for your mom!) Many moms will read books and analyze how to tell a kid that they are going on a trip, someone died, getting them potty trained or get them from a crib to a bed or for numerous other things. I think if you don’t think it is a big deal, neither will a kid. You just push them into the next step and just explain things. It goes along with what my mother told me. Treat them like little adults, not like babies.
